Dijon

Finally some sunshine! And longer, warmer days – let’s hope the spring is here to stay and we are not going to be surprised with some unfortunate English rainy weather French style!

While this is a very short stopover, our weekend stop in Dijon was lovely. Exploring the inner city aka Old Town with the puppies was fun, having cheeky crepe and finding some surprise flavours of Mustard was pretty thrilling – till you get your receipt! ha – so what do you fancy? How about spicy mustard with truffle shavings? Or perhaps one with Chardonnay?

Overall, it would be a place we would like to return for some in depth culinary experience. Maybe not some Michelin star type, but I could certainly have some more mustard, crepe or french fries…

Dijon, capital of Burgundy region, is a popular destination – rich in culture and long history, this city has plenty to offer from a stroll around the Old Town following an owl trail (you can purchase the guide book at the visitor centre – great for parents with kids) – and this one hour long trail will take you past all the top sites in the district to an inexpensive wine experience.
